Learn how to practice your machine quilting skills efficiently so that you can “get good fast” and make your next quilt fun and stress-free. You will be shown how to structure your practice time, and exactly what to practice so you’ll quickly gain muscle memory, confidence, and design knowledge for your next project. Bring along a notebook and pencil.

You don’t need to be an artist to machine quilt! We will show you over a dozen simple but attractive overall quilting designs—from stars and loops and paisley shapes to chocolate swirls and even Chrissy Curves and Susie Swirls—you’ll learn how to build on easy shapes to create designs that you can use in all your machine quilting projects with just a little practice. It’s easy!

Friday: APQS Road Show Longarm Quilting Experience session

APQSlogo293The APQS Road Show crew is traveling across the country, bringing our longarm quilting machines to you! This is your chance to get your hands on one of our longarm quilting machines to discover the model that is right for you.
What you’ll learn
Designed for quilters who do not currently own a longarm machine, the seminar includes valuable information about owning your first longarm.

  • Discover resources for templates, batting, freehand instruction manuals, wholesale contacts, thread, etc.
  • Find out where to buy pantograph patterns, books and stencils to make your longarm quilting fun and hassle-free.
  • Learn business philosophies, products and services, pricing, marketing and income forecasting. (You’ll even get a Sample Business Plan.)
  • Explore the differences between each APQS machine model.
  • Learn which accessories are the “gotta haves” to make your quilting fast and easy.
  • Learn how to oil, clean and service your machine to provide years of quilting fun
