How you want us to help you create your quilt will be also unique to you. You may have a finished quilt top you want longarm quilted. You may have selected t-shirts for a quilt. You may want to do your own quilting using one of our APQS longarm quilting machines. Or you may have cherished fabrics to be made into a commemorative or memorial quilt. We will work with you to create your quilt.
Longarm quilting services: This is how we determine the cost of quilting.
- Determine the length and width of your quilt top.
- Multiply those numbers together to find the number of square inches of your quilt.
- Multiply that number by the cost value associated with the level of quilting you desire (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4, or Level 5 – see examples below)
For example: your quilt is 50″x60″. That is 3000 square inches. You desire level 3 type of quilting so multiply 3000 by $.04, yielding a cost (for quilting only) of $120.
Level 1 – simple meander, edge to edge pantograph
$0.025 per square inch
Level 2 – simple custom designs, more complex pantographs
$0.03 per square inch
Level 3 – complex custom quilting, dense designs, Stitch-in-the-Ditch, pictorials
$0.04 per square inch
Level 4 – Basic custom quilting with one design placed in each block
Price per square inch is specific to the extent of quilting, starting at $0.06 per square inch
Level 5 – Medium custom quilting with multiple (2-3) designs placed in blocks
Price per square inch is specific to the extent of quilting, starting at $0.08 per square inch
Level 6 – Heavy custom quilting with each block uniquely personalized to the quilt top design
Price per square inch is specific to the extent of quilting, starting at $0.10 per square inch
