David Eaton from “So Old Sew New” will teach you skills, tips, and insider tricks to keep that Singer Featherweight in excellent running condition for frustration free sewing and quilting. The class will focus on Singer 221/222 Featherweight. However, once you learn the basics you will be able to service your other Vintage Sewing Machines (non-electronics)

This class is designed to teach basic maintenance, troubleshooting and techniques to enhance your abilities with the Singer Model 221. You should already have some experience using this machine and have a fully functional sewing machine. If you are new to the Singer 221, have a new machine, or need basic operational training or simple repairs, then please consider a private “New Owners” class. ♦ A working sewing machine with power cord and foot control and bobbin case.
♦ A new needle (80/12 or 90/14); we recommend Schmetz Microtex.
♦ Cotton thread (40-50wt) and two (2) full bobbins.
♦ Test fabric to sew, quilter’s weight cotton.
♦ Hand or small bath towel, and an apron or work shirt.
♦ A small table lamp, if available.
